Exercise is essential in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. It lowers cholesterol levels, helps reduce body weight, and may have a role in preventing some types of cancer. In a systematic review from 2017, and reviewing 725,074 cancer cases in 22 anatomical locations, regular exercise was strongly associated with the reduction of 2 types of cancer, colon cancer and breast cancer.
